History of monumental baroque Cistercian abbey in Henryków (Lower Silesia) started in XIII century. Many parts of prior buildings have survived, but some of them are hidden inside the walls.
During investigations of the monastery undertaken in 2003-2006 old entrance to the former chapter house was found. Rich painted decoration is very well preserved. Profiled stones of the three vaults were covered by polychromes coming from following historical periods.
